Leonardo Hotel Salzburg City Center

Hotel location is perfect! Very close to Salzburg Old Town and turistic attractions, it just took a 10 minute walk to reach the pedestrian area with the dome and all the shops and boutiques and a bit more to the river. Our room was nice and comfortable and had a coffee machine too. The blond guy who checked us in was friendly and helped us out easily with the coffee machine trouble. :) We arrived by car and quite easily we could manage parking in the street opposite the hotel. As we stayed during the weekend it was for free. Otherwise you can park in the garage complex right next to the hotel for cca. 21 EUR/24hrs. Check-out time is till 11:00!!! :)

At the time we arrived, the room we booked was not cleaned yet, so the manager upgraded us to one of the bigger rooms. It’s very close to the Salzburg center (around 5min through a tunnel) and in a very walkable area. We especially linked that in the morning we were able to drink a coffee, since they provided us with 2 capsules for the coffee machine in the room. As it was a Sunday, we didn’t have to park in the paid underground parking of the hotel, since the parking on the street was free.

The location was very good, with good public transportation. The room was spacious, comfortable. They clean and change the towels daily (I would let the visitors decide if they want the towels changed).

We are returning guests as we loved it the last time and we loved our stay again. The main attraction to the Star Inn is the location - it is a couple of meters from the tunnel that leads straight into the Altstadt so this is perfect for us because once we arrive we rarely use any other transportation - we just walk everywhere.... The units are a single room with 2 double beds so it works fine with us and our 2 children - however, as the kids are getting bigger now, we may need to change to accommodation with separate bedrooms on our next trip for more privacy- but with the smaller children this worked well. The water pressure in the shower is good and there was enough hot water for 4 people. Bed linen of good quality and beds are very comfortable. Towels provided. Air-conditioning in room. We could connect our multi media player to the TV to watch our own movies. Wifi available in room. Working mini fridge in room. We asked for additional pillows and it was provided- thank you. Shower gel and soap provided. Perfect for a short stay.

This hotel is in a great location, right outside the tunnel in the mountain that leads to the Old Town and Christmas market. Also less then a mile walk from the Augustiner brewery. Staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast is reasonably priced at 14 Euros each. This is a basic, clean hotel and the rooms are a very nice size. The hotel is reasonably priced for its location in a popular tourist destination.
